About The Position

NaphCare is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join their team at the Henderson Detention Center in Henderson, NV. This role is available in full-time, part-time, and PRN capacities. The CMA will play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare to a diverse patient population within a correctional facility, utilizing advanced resources and technology to deliver patient-focused care.

Requirements

• Nevada or National Certification is required for Certified Medical Assistants
• Must have a high school diploma or GED certificate
• A valid CPR card
• A minimum of 1-year clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with correctional healthcare experience preferred
• Office Lab Assistant License (For Nevada only)

Responsibilities

• Provide routine clinical tasks
• Perform routine blood drawing procedures
• Take and document vital signs, height and weight, assist with PPDs and EKGs
• Assist with examinations and/or treatments
• Assist with patient hygiene, ambulation and dressing changes
