About The Position

We’re looking for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our care team! This role supports providers by delivering patient care and performing both clinical and administrative tasks to keep our clinics running smoothly. The clinical assistant assists provider and other clinical staff with obtaining basic vital information, preparing patient for examination, treatment and minor surgical procedures.

Requirements

• Current Certification as a Medical Assistant (AAMA, AMT, NHA or NCT)
• High school diploma.
• BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
• Knowledge of clinical skill techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments.

Responsibilities

• Take and record patient medical histories.
• Measure and monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiratory rate).
• Prepare patients for exams and assist healthcare providers during procedures.
• Administer injections, vaccines, and medications as directed by physicians.
• Collect and prepare lab specimens (e.g., blood, urine) for testing.
• Perform basic diagnostic tests (e.g., EKGs, vision tests).
• Sterilize and maintain medical instruments.
• Provide patients with instructions for medications, procedures, and follow-up care.
• Educate patients on health management and preventive care.
