About The Position
The Certified Medical Assistant performs direct clinical activities in a courteous, caring, and respectful manner. These activities include patient intake, blood draw, pharmacy calls, EKG, and any tests required by the provider. The role is responsible for accurately documenting in an EMR system in accordance with licensure and Valley Medical Group (VMG) policies and procedures. The Medical Assistant maintains close working relationships with all practice staff to ensure proper workflow, care, and treatment. Additionally, the position involves performing a variety of front desk activities that support the practice and professional staff, including patient registration, billing, insurance, and safe visit protocols as directed or requested by the Practice Manager/Supervisor.
