About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant/Business Associate (BA) position at Valley Physician Services in Dumont, NJ, involves a blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities aimed at supporting patient care and the overall operations of the medical center. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of clinical and technical functions under the guidance of the Charge Nurse, Practice Manager, staff physician, and/or Medical Director. This includes direct patient care activities, assisting with examinations, and ensuring that the clinical environment is safe and efficient. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with specific educational requirements for each role. For the Medical Assistant, completion of a formal Medical Assistant program recognized by the State of New Jersey is necessary, while the Business Associate roles require coursework in office management or business.
