About The Position

A Certified Medication Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents. This Full-Time position demands unwavering attention to detail, strict adherence to protocols, and a commitment to providing exceptional care. We offer a competitive benefits package and generous salary starting at $17 per hour. This position requires availability for weekends and holidays as needed. Provide essential assistance to residents with activities of daily living, maintaining their dignity and independence. Administer medications with utmost precision and safety, including oral, ophthalmic, optic, nasal, rectal, and topical forms, as prescribed by the physician. Implement a rigorous three-step verification process before administering any medication: Confirm resident identity Verify correct medication Ensure proper dosage, form, route, timing, and frequency (e.g., 1 hour after meals) Maintain compliance with medication labeling requirements to prevent potential errors. Uphold the highest standards of care and safety in all aspects of medication management and resident interaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • 1 year experience or training, preferably working with older adults or in the retirement housing industry is preferred
  • A comprehensive pre-employment background check is mandatory and will be conducted prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a recognized Medication Administration course is a plus
