One of the premier spas in New England, The Spa at the Woodstock Inn & Resort boasts a 10,000 square foot, LEED-certified facility featuring 10 treatment rooms, a spa boutique and locally sourced products. Job Summary: The Certified Massage Therapist will perform massage and body treatments in a high-end customer service environment. The successful candidate will love to help others and share their passion for therapeutic massage. The candidate will be professional and prompt, have a diverse understanding of anatomy and massage techniques, and be able to read client's needs accurately.
Requirements
- Possess Vermont massage license.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, congenial personality is a must.
- Ability to work in a high-volume, busy service environment while maintaining composure and focus on the guest.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience providing massage services preferred.
- Proficient in various types of massage such as Swedish and deep tissue, additional specialty modalities a plus.
- Must be able to perform three to four consecutive massages.
- Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the highest level of massage services and knowledge and a complete understanding of all spa services presently offered.
- Perform all treatments with regard to the guest's safety, wellbeing and privacy.
- Begin and end all treatments on time.
- Ensure all work areas are clean and sanitized.
