About The Position

As a Certified Maintenance professional, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing various equipment and systems within our plant. Your expertise will be instrumental in keeping our operations running efficiently and safely. This position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our organization. Duties will include the following: The below list is the minimum duties which are subject to change as requirements change. Perform various burning and welding procedures as required. Splice the various belts throughout the plant. Adjust and train conveyor belts, as well as layout, cut, and install conveyor skirts. Replace V-belts and align sheaves. Safely and properly rig and hoist equipment. Must know crane signals. Remove and install bushings from sheaves and sprockets. Replace screw conveyor tail and hanger bearings and shafts. Replace gear reducers and align their couplings. Must also be able to replace shaft mounted gear reducers. Read a tape measure to 1/32 of an inch. Measure, cut and thread piping to fit. Assemble pipefittings. Safely operate a forklift. Learn the equipment to troubleshoot and repair it. Tear down and properly reassemble any piece of equipment. Remove and install spherical roller bearings and set the proper clearance. Must understand and be able to troubleshoot 480vac motor control circuits. Read an electrical schematic and troubleshoot a circuit. Replace and wire up a 3-phase 480vac motor. Must have the ability to learn to troubleshoot plc systems. Run conduit, pull wire and connect to enclosures. Safely operate a manlift. Must be willing to train to become a certified crane operator and a certified signal person. Learn the electrical system to be able to troubleshoot and repair. Perform preventive maintenance on quarry vehicles and equipment. Must be willing to travel for training as needed. Requirements

  • Certified Maintenance qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and motor control circuits.
  • Experience with rigging and hoisting equipment.
  • Forklift and manlift operation skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for training.
  • Must have previously held the position of Certified Maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform burning and welding procedures as needed.
  • Splice and adjust conveyor belts, ensuring proper tracking.
  • Layout, cut, and install conveyor skirts.
  • Replace V-belts, align sheaves, and install bushings.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including screw conveyors and gear reducers.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and motor control circuits.
  • Replace and wire up 3-phase 480VAC motors.
  • Learn and troubleshoot PLC systems.
  • Operate and maintain quarry vehicles and equipment.
  • Train to become a certified crane operator and signal person.
