About The Position

Local Substitute Teacher (2025-2026 school year) Local substitute teachers are individuals who hold a minimum of 48 completed college credit hours AND have been granted a Nebraska Department of Education Local Substitute License. Full Day Pay Rate: $173.85 Half Day Pay Rate: $86.92 Certification Requirement Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) Local Substitute Certificate: This official permit must be secured prior to employment. ( Note: Human Relations training may be required in order to obtain the NDE Local Substitute Certificate) Application Requirements: 1. Certified Reference Surveys: Three certified references must complete and return the electronic survey forms before your hire date. Please verify the correct email addresses for your references to ensure they receive the forms promptly. 2. Gallup Teacher Insight Assessment: Complete the online assessment using the dedicated link that will be sent to you via email. 3. Local Substitute Orientation: A registration link for the orientation will be sent to your email addrss after your application has been successfully submitted.
