About The Position

The position involves preparing solutions, labeling tubes and specimen containers, collecting specimens, and performing simple tests under supervision. The role includes routine technical and clerical functions, operating simple lab equipment, and processing anatomic pathology and cytology specimens. The individual will obtain blood specimens for all age groups serviced and assist pathologists as needed. Additionally, the position requires the use, maintenance, and cleaning of laboratory equipment while using protective equipment to safeguard against exposure to chemical, radiation, and infectious hazards. Knowledge of emergency procedures is essential, and the individual will perform phlebotomist duties as assigned.
