This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus. The role involves preparing solutions, labeling tubes and specimen containers, collecting specimens, and performing simple tests under supervision. The individual will perform routine technical and clerical functions, operate simple lab equipment under supervision, and process anatomic pathology and cytology specimens. Additionally, the position requires obtaining blood specimens for all age groups serviced and assisting pathologists as needed. The candidate will use, maintain, and clean laboratory equipment while using protective equipment to protect from exposure to chemical, radiation, and infectious hazards. Knowledge of emergency procedures is essential. The role also includes performing phlebotomist duties as assigned.
