About The Position

Requirements

  • Pharmacy Technician License
  • Mid-level IV infusion experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • IV insertion skills
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician certification
  • 1 year of experience in aseptic technique
  • IV Certification
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in compounding medications

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year or more of long-term care or retail pharmacy experience preferred
  • Successful completion of all PharmScript Sterile Compounding Training

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all state and federal pharmacy regulations including HIPAA.
  • Comply with and perform best practices as outlined in USP.
  • Perform sanitation, maintenance, and tracking of infusion equipment and the IV room.
  • Conduct pharmaceutics infusion compounding activities.
  • Mix and compound IV medications from a Laminar Flow Hood or Sterile Glovebox.
  • Maintain knowledge of IV medications and supplies.
  • Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.
