The Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) will work with the behavioral home team to ensure that well-coordinated and integrated care is delivered to the youth and families served. The CIPSS will provide leadership and technical assistance in developing and implementing the BHHO peer support services. A willingness to share experiences with co-workers and community providers is essential for success in this position. This position must be able to work flexible hours, which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays. The role involves identifying individual needs for peer supports, providing individual and group peer support, acting as a peer role model, assisting clients with understanding their rights and responsibilities, networking for community opportunities, and actively supporting the mission of the BHHO model and principles of recovery. The CIPSS will also participate in staff meetings, supervisions, provide volunteer peer services, assist with transportation, and engage in professional growth activities.
