About The Position

ProSidian Seeks a Certified Industrial Hygienist | Industrial Hygiene | Risk Management | Compliance [NIH0009008] for Program Support on a Exempt 1099 Contract: No Overtime Pay Basis Contract Contingent located CONUS - Maryland Across The Mid Atlantic Region supporting comprehensive industrial hygiene, environmental health, and safety support services to protect researchers, patients, visitors, and staff while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional standards. It enables continuity of biomedical research operations through specialized technical staffing, hazard monitoring, training, and environmental health programs across NIH facilities. Seeking Certified Industrial Hygienist candidates with relevant Environmental Management Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Environmental Management Sector Clients such as NIH. This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Industrial Hygiene | Risk Management | Compliance Functional Area / Swim Lane / Category Discipline Professional - Integrated Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Support Services Position; however, ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.

Requirements

• ABIH Certification required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, or Environmental Science.
• 5–10 years field experience.
• Hazard monitoring, toxicology awareness, advanced sampling methods, regulatory interpretation.
• Analytical precision, problem-solving, evidence-based decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Conducts complex exposure assessments and air monitoring.
• Leads asbestos, lead, and hazardous material surveys.
• Reviews laboratory processes for chemical, radiological, and biological safety risks.
• Prepares compliance reports aligned with OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH standards.
• Provides expert consultation during remediation or abatement projects.
