About The Position

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment in multiple buildings at multiple campuses.

Requirements

Associate degree in HVAC&R, Electrical, Plumbing or closely related field required.
High school diploma or equivalent, along with industry standard certification and/or extensive work experience may be considered in place of Associate degree.
Minimum of three years of work experience in a specific field of HVAC&R, electrical installation/repair or plumbing required.
Prior work performance must have met or exceeded appropriate work standards.
Valid driver's license required.
Current refrigerant transition and recovery certificate required.
PA Child History clearance
PA Criminal Record Check clearance
FBI Federal Criminal History Record clearance

Nice To Haves

Commercial HVAC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, refrigeration and boiler systems are operational on a daily basis.
Initiate ordering parts utilizing appropriate processes to facilitate timely repair of malfunctioning equipment.
Maintain heating and air-conditioning systems to control proper temperature and heat loss.
Ensure all College boilers are operational each day.
Install HVAC equipment and electrical components into equipment and ensure equipment meets regulatory requirements.
Complete work assignments in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agency standards.
Complete work orders and return them to the appropriate location within the Facilities & Grounds Department.
Maintain an up to date inventory of all HVAC parts and equipment.
Initiate and perform preventative maintenance as scheduled on all mechanical equipment at all College facilities.
Respond to emergency situations that may arise at all College locations.
Maintain a neat and orderly work environment.
Maintain up-to-date with professional credentials best practices and current disciplines including continued educational requirements through certifications, seminars, training programs, etc.
Maintain and develop work related knowledge, skills, and competencies related to the job through professional and cross training opportunities.
Attend all required meetings and trainings.
Perform additional grade level support duties as assigned.
