About The Position

The position is responsible for the environmental integrity of buildings, focusing on HVAC systems and related supporting systems such as electrical, pneumatic, water, sanitary, gas, and life safety. The role involves maintaining all environmental systems for maximum efficiency to ensure a suitable environment for building occupants. Regular communication with city governmental and insurance inspectors, chemical suppliers, and vendors is also a key aspect of the job.

Requirements

  • Minimum E and F classification certifications.
  • EPA 608 Certification required.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Commercial HVAC.
  • Mechanical and electrical working knowledge of HVAC equipment, pneumatics, and electronic control systems.
  • Knowledge of multifunction meters, programmable control systems, and computers.
  • Ability to handle refrigerants according to OSHA/EPA standards.
  • Understanding of equipment requiring preventive maintenance.

Nice To Haves

  • G and H classification preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain environmental systems for maximum efficiency.
  • Communicate with city governmental and insurance inspectors.
  • Coordinate with chemical suppliers and vendors.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot HVAC electrical and refrigeration circuitry.
  • Work from site prints and handwritten instructions, including electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA, MIOSHA, EPA, and IAQ guidelines.
