Job Summary: As a Generator Service Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance & repair of generator systems. You will work closely with our service team to ensure that all generators are operating efficiently and effectively, providing reliable power solutions to our clients.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a generator technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of generator systems, both diesel and gas-powered.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as required.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on generator systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with generators.
- Conduct load bank testing and performance evaluations.
- Maintain accurate records of all service and repair activities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers.
- Respond to emergency service calls in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
