Certified General Motors Automotive Transmission Technician wanted at Gill GMC in Madera. Pay range is $33 - $50 per hour Flat Rate Pay and depends on certifications and experience levels. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • ASE certification in at least two categories preferred.
  • Service Master Technician requires a minimum of 3 years experience in an automotive repair shop required.
  • Working knowledge of automotive repair and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to use shop equipment such as hydraulic lifts, welding equipment, and air tools.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • A valid driver's license with clean driving record required.

Nice To Haves

  • ASE certification in at least two categories preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with automotive inquiries and repair needs.
  • Perform automotive repair services, including but not limited to tune ups, brake service, steering & suspension, and engine rebuilding.
  • Perform preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, tire balancing & mounting, and fluid checks & changes.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicle automotive systems including but not limited to brakes, transmission, exhaust, heating & air conditioning, and electrical systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed.
  • Keep shop floor and work area clean.
  • Follow established safety guidelines and procedures.
