About The Position

High Plains Farm Credit, ACA The Farm Credit System is a unique entity, a network of nationally connected, locally owned financial cooperatives.  Since 1916, Farm Credit has been devoted to agricultural financing and is the largest single provider of agricultural credit in the United States.  High Plains Farm Credit is a member of the Farm Credit System and services almost $2.1 billion of loans.  High Plains Farm Credit's vision is to be the preferred source of agricultural financing. POSITION PURPOSE High Plains Farm Credit is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Appraiser. Duties include but are not limited to, understanding High Plains Farm Credits goals and objectives while participating in obtaining these goals. Coordinating with the branch offices and Association staff in a business oriented and professional manor. Provide credible appraisals by following the provisions of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). While a Certified General Appraiser license in Kansas is preferred, it is not required. We are open to assisting the right candidate, who demonstrates strong potential and a passion for agricultural finance, in achieving their designation as a licensed Certified General Appraiser

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Agriculture, Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Economics or other related field.
• Analytic and problem-solving skills, which support and enable sound decision making.
• Ability to work well with staff at all levels; exercise initiative; convey ideas clearly and make sound business decisions.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred: Certified General Appraiser license in the State of Kansas.

Responsibilities

• Ability to provide objective, credible, unbiased opinions on the market value of real property associated with High Plains Farm Credit loan activities.
• Collect, analyze and enter sales information obtained from assigned counties into the Association sales database.
• Appropriately protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the Association's systems, data and clients' data.
