The Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI) provides ground and flight instruction to students using a variety of methods, including classroom training and in-flight instruction. Flight Instructors are responsible for ensuring the individual student's success throughout the training process for Private, Instrument, Commercial, Multi-Engine, and CFI/CFII pilot training programs. They play an integral role in ensuring operational safety and work closely with the Chief Instructor to enhance the training experience for students. You will provide professional flight instruction to students in a Part 61/141 environment. You are responsible for your students' progress during training and for keeping their syllabi up to date. There may be occasions where you will be called upon to perform some clerical duties along with your flight instructing responsibilities. You will report to the Chief Flight Instructor, who will supervise your activities and progress as an instructor. Your duties will be assigned as directed by the Chief Instructor or his designee.
