About The Position

The Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) is responsible for providing high-quality ground and flight instruction in accordance with FAA regulations and company training standards. The CFI ensures student progress, safety, and regulatory compliance while maintaining accurate training records and documentation. This role requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and a commitment to developing safe, competent pilots. Requirements

  • FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate
  • Current FAA Medical Certificate or Basic Med
  • Current Flight Review
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and airspace
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening (if applicable)

Nice To Haves

  • Tailwheel Endorsement
  • CFII (Instrument Instructor) certification
  • Experience instructing in a Part 61 environment
  • Experience preparing students for checkrides
  • Strong customer service and communication skill

Responsibilities

  • Provide private pilot level flight and ground instruction per 14 CFR Part 61 and 91
  • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight briefings
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Endorse student logbooks and training records as required
  • Ensure all training activities comply with FAA regulations and company SOPs
  • Maintain accurate and timely training documentation
  • Promote a strong safety culture and risk management practices
  • Assist with student scheduling and progress tracking
  • Participate in stage checks, mock checkrides, and student evaluations as needed
  • Support company events, safety meetings, and training standardization meetings
