About The Position

The Green Technology Group (TGTG) is seeking a Certified Environmental Services Executive (CESE) to provide executive-level leadership, strategic oversight, and operational management supporting federal healthcare and government facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, infection prevention standards, environmental safety, and operational excellence across geographically dispersed sites. The ideal candidate will possess an active Certified Environmental Services Executive (CESE) certification and demonstrated experience leading environmental services operations within healthcare, hospital, or large institutional environments. This is a remote position; however, periodic travel may be required based on contract needs.

Requirements

  • Active Certified Environmental Services Executive (CESE) certification (required and must remain active)
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in environmental services or housekeeping, including supervisory or management responsibility
  • Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of hospital-grade cleaning procedures and infection control practices
  • Experience supervising housekeeping teams in healthcare, long-term care, or large institutional settings
  • Working knowledge of CDC, OSHA, and Joint Commission environmental standards
  • Experience conducting quality inspections and staff performance evaluations
  • Strong understanding of cleaning chemistry, disinfectant dwell times, and equipment maintenance
  • Ability to train and enforce safe handling of chemicals and PPE
  • Proficiency in documenting inspections and compliance activities
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direct oversight of environmental services operations across healthcare or institutional facilities
  • Develop and enforce daily cleaning schedules, sanitation procedures, and room turnover standards
  • Ensure proper cleaning, disinfecting, and waste handling practices in patient rooms, operating areas, public spaces, and high-touch environments
  • Monitor compliance with infection prevention protocols, isolation procedures, and bloodborne pathogen standards
  • Conduct routine quality inspections of housekeeping staff performance and facility cleanliness
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate supervisors and frontline housekeepers on proper equipment use, chemical safety, and cleaning techniques
  • Implement corrective actions when sanitation standards are not met
  • Oversee linen handling, regulated medical waste disposal, and hazardous material protocols
  • Manage inventory and proper storage of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and equipment
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA safety standards, PPE requirements, and environmental health regulations
  • Coordinate with nursing, facilities management, and safety teams to support patient care environments
  • Respond to urgent sanitation needs such as spills, contamination events, or outbreak response situations
  • Conduct risk assessments, internal audits, and corrective action planning
  • Support proposal development, transition-in activities, and program stand-up efforts for new federal contracts
