About The Position

Under general supervision, assess, plan and implement the patient care requirements and treatment necessary for cardiopulmonary bypass/assistance before, during and after surgery. Sets up and operates the heart/lung machine. Consults with Physicians and selects appropriate equipment. Performs related duties as required. SCHEDULE: 6:30 AM-3 PM. Monday-Friday.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited NYS college with an Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree with a major in perfusion technology or graduation from a NYS accredited certificate program in perfusion technology required.
• Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion is required, once eligible.
• BLS is required.
