About The Position

The Marshes of Skidaway Island is seeking a hospitality focused Certified Dietary / Kitchen Manager to join our team! In this highly relational role, you will support our mission of delivering exceptional resident care through meaningful interactions, high‑quality dining experiences, and a welcoming, home‑like environment. What You’ll Do Lead a dedicated dining services team with a focus on hospitality, respect, and personalized service. Build strong, positive relationships with residents—learning preferences, supporting individual needs, and enhancing their daily dining experience. Interview and visit with residents and/or family members to obtain accurate dietary history and current food preferences Utilize Resident Satisfaction Surveys to enhance the overall dining service Ensure all meal preparation and service meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Oversee kitchen operations, including staffing, scheduling, food production, inventory, and ordering. Collaborate closely with nursing, wellness, and culinary teams to support resident health and nutritional goals. Participate in the Nutrition at Risk Committee and the Skin/Wound Care Committee Participate in Resident Care Plan Conferences Assist in planning and conducting in-service training programs for the dining staff Provide counseling on nutritional issues to residents. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen that reflects our commitment to care and community. What We’re Looking For Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential and Food Safety and Sanitation (ServSafe) certifications required. A minimum of two years' experience in kitchen and dietary management in a health care setting, preferably in senior living. Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen. Experience with performing clinical assessments on residents, meeting with Care Plan Team, performing input on MDS preferred. Requirements
