(For eligible employees) Currently seeking a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to work a full time schedule 5 days a week. Job Summary: To oversee nutritional care of the residents.

Requirements

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) and/or a graduate of an accredited course in dietetic training approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in a supervisory capacity in a nursing care community, hospital, or other related medical facility.
  • Must be knowledgeable of food services safety practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations and guidelines governing food services functions in nursing care facilities.
  • ServSafe Food, Allergen and Alcohol Certified (or ability to obtain after hire)
  • Ability to work 8-hour shifts
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and perform simple arithmetic.
  • Ability to make independent decisions within scope of practice when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Ability to deal tactfully and communicate with team members, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public with patience and a cheerful disposition.

Nice To Haves

  • Related Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Prefer Post-Secondary Education in hospitality management or dining room operations.
  • Prefer experience with life plan community

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the nutritional care of Center for Health Rehab Residents
  • Complete nutrition assessments and at-risk follow ups.
  • Develop resident nutritional care plans- monitor for effectiveness and revise as needed.
  • Prepare for and/or attend interdisciplinary and family care conference and other meetings as needed.
  • Oversee resident table service and meal delivery, assuring compliance with OBRA regulations and physician diet orders.
  • Coordinate resident nourishment system.
  • Develop and monitor Quality Assurance activities to monitor nutritional care.
  • Provide in-services to nursing and dining services staff.
  • Maintain OBRA standards
  • Complete assigned portions of Minimum Data Set.
  • Monitor department for compliance with local, federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of new standards through appropriate continuing education courses.
  • Communicate new regulations to staff and administration.
