Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Certified Dietary Manager
Minimum of one year cooking in retirement/hospitality environment
Current Food Handlers Card
Ability to speak, understand, read and write in English

Responsibilities

Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with dietary staff, administration, and residents/families
Must be able to process invoices for accounts payable, expenditure tracking, hiring, orientation, training and evaluating personnel
Implement state and federal regulations
Meet with Administrator on a regular basis to organize and plan special functions and menu event
Communicate with Registered Dietitian (RD) on all menus, food substitutions, diets/diet textures
Knowledge and expertise of the IDDSI diets
Maintain the order and organization of materials and goods in the department
Maintain a detailed cleaning schedule for the kitchen with the duties posted
Maintain department budget and necessary paperwork
Complete evaluations as necessary
Coordinate menu to meet nutritional standards
Attend all IDT meetings as necessary
Complete trainings as needed
