About The Position

The Certified Diabetes Nurse Educator collaborates with key nurse leaders and front-line clinicians within and/or across designated affiliates to lead, direct, coordinate, and evaluate the design of key initiatives and projects that have a direct effect on professional practice nursing programs to achieve objectives and standards. Leads and participates on system-wide committees. Provides subject matter expertise to internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Three to five years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Three years of program or project management experience.
  • Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Maryland.
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) credential.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary setting.
