About The Position

Join our dynamic team as a Certified Compounding Pharmacy Technician where you will play a vital role in mixing IV and other pharmaceutical preparations using proper sterile compounding techniques. You will adhere to all documented instructions, warnings, procedures, and best practices to ensure the safe and effective preparation of medications.

Requirements

  • Experience in pharmacy and compounding.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
  • Experience working within a clinical or compounding setting.
  • Knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations.
  • Proficiency in maintaining inventory accuracy and filling prescriptions.

  • Familiarity with sterile compounding techniques and USP-797 guidelines.
  • Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Mix IV and pharmaceutical preparations using sterile compounding techniques.
  • Adhere to documented instructions and best practices for safe drug preparation.
  • Perform environmental monitoring, sanitation, and testing per federal and state pharmacy regulations and USP-797 standards.
  • Maintain accurate drug inventory through purchasing, receiving, stocking, pulling, counting, and tracking.
  • Enter home medication lists and lab results into CPR+ for patient profiles.
  • Clean the ante-room and cleanroom areas in accordance with USP-797 standards.
  • Maintain cleanroom logs and verify lot numbers for inventory accuracy.
  • Assist with on-call responsibilities as needed.
  • Complete a competency verification plan upon hire and annually to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
  • Uphold confidentiality concerning proprietary company information and patient care, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
