About The Position

The position involves filling prescriptions, routine orders for medications, and prepackaged pharmaceuticals, along with performing other related duties. The role requires assisting pharmacists as directed, including filling orders and preparing labels, as well as assisting patients by taking prescriptions and necessary information. The technician will operate the cash register, deliver medications as needed, and submit and receive orders from suppliers. Additionally, the technician will enter and retrieve data from established computer files using various software applications, assist with I.V. preparation and delivery, and train other employees in day-to-day procedures. The position shares responsibility with other team members for the daily delivery of patient medications to a Script Center in Mt. Gretna, PA, applicable only to staff working at the Good Samaritan Pharmacy location.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years of pharmacy experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician upon hire.
• Completion of Pharmacy Technician Program upon hire.

Responsibilities
