About The Position

Schedule Full-Time: 40 Hours/Weekly Rotating Shifts may require travel to other locations General Summary Fills prescriptions, routine orders for medications and prepackaged pharmaceuticals and performs other related duties. Essential Functions: Assists pharmacists as directed including filling orders and preparing labels. Assists patient, taking prescription, necessary information, etc. Operates cash register. Delivers medications as needed. Submits and receives orders from suppliers. Enters and/or retrieves data from established computer files using knowledge of various computer software applications. Assists with I.V. preparation and delivery. Trains other employees in day to day procedures. Participates in the performance evaluation process for Technician I and Driver. Position shares responsibility with other team members for daily delivery of patient medications to a Script Center in Mt. Gretna, PA. (Applies only to staff working at Good Samaritan Pharmacy location only; Department 43514). Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation. Logs all drugs delivered to pharmacy. Requirements

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
Required Work Experience: 2 years Pharmacy experience.
Required Licenses: Certified Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire
Required Courses and Training: Pharmacy Technician Program. Upon Hire
