Make a Difference The Certified Coder will be responsible for coding and abstracting for physician billing using software and coding books based on current work assignment .
Requirements
- Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a strong attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certified Professional Coding (CPC) certification through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) required.
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) years of coding experience preferred.
- Experience in surgery coding preferred, including General Surgery, Hepatobiliary Surgery – Oncology, Orthopedics, Colon and Rectal, and Anesthesia.
- Previous experience with Epic EMR strongly preferred.
