The Certified Coder - Specialty Coding position at Summa Health Medical Group involves responsibility for all aspects of coding review, billing data entry, reprocessing of coding denials, reconciling services provided at the hospital, and maintaining regulatory requirements. The coder will utilize their coding knowledge to ensure that the appropriate codes are used in accordance with the charges to be posted. The role requires ensuring that work is completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations. Additionally, the position supports the coordination of care through Patient-Centered Medical Home methodologies, as applicable.
