About The Position

Travel Certified Central Sterilization Technician - (Nights) Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Certified Central Sterilization Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Sitka, AK. Assignment: Rotating shifts each week between these 2 schedules: Tuesday through Friday, 8 am-6 pm, and Tuesday through Friday 6 am-4 pm. Each shift requires call time to include call time on weekends as well. Start Date: 4/6/2026 Contract: 13 weeks EMR: Meditech Traveler Policy: Only accepts traveler profile applications from travelers who live at least 50+ miles away from the facility where they are working. Rate is all inclusive/ Will not be providing housing or flights. Location: Sitka, AK 99835 MUST HAVE FLU VACCINE + Start date will be no less than 5 weeks after fingerprint cards are received for processing Certifications Required: Certification in Sterile Processing and/or Technology required through either the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HPSA). Key Responsibilities: Responsible for all steps necessary for the proper decontamination, disinfection, sterilization, and packaging of instruments and equipment for MEMC OR · Supports decontamination, disinfection, sterilization, and packaging of instruments and equipment as needed for other SEARHC services, as workload permits. · Completely and thoroughly disassembles instruments and equipment to ensure the removal of any debris, surgical soil, and bioburdens before sterilization or high-level disinfection. Performs multi-step procedures to effectively reprocess various instruments, including autoclaving. Performs and validates all cleaning of instruments using SEARHC policies and procedures, manufacturers' instructions for use guidelines, and the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) guidelines Maintains records for all sterilization procedures that are processed, including interpretation of all biological monitoring, validation of monitoring results, and quality assurance checks to ensure sterilization parameters are met. Effectively communicates with providers and staff to problem-solve in the event of an instrument shortage and the need to substitute and/or offer alternatives. Verifies that equipment functions properly, requisitions for equipment maintenance, repair, or replacement, and removes defective equipment. Maintains competency in sterilization reprocessing by return demonstration and participating in continuing education as requested. Assists in the training and certification of members of the team on the sterilization process as needed. Performs additional supply handling duties for Specialty Care and Primary Care at ELMC as time permits, secondary to sterilization/reprocessing responsibilities. Duties include: o Product ordering and stocking o Inventory checks o Other basic inventory management functions as needed. Compensation: Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible) Pay package details provided upon offer

Requirements

Must have at least a High school diploma/GED
A minimum m of 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment is preferred
Certification in Sterile Processing and/or Technology required through either the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HPSA)
Must have current BLS/BCLS certification
Must have PALS Certification; TNCC Desired
Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
Drug screen and background check (facility required)
Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned
MUST HAVE FLU VACCINE
Start date will be no less than 5 weeks after fingerprint cards are received for processing

Responsibilities
