About The Position

The position involves providing a variety of sterilization processing functions, including manual and automated decontamination procedures. The role is essential in supplying sterile instruments and clean equipment to various departments such as the Operating Room, Gastroenterology, WIC, Emergency Department, and others as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Certification as a Central Sterile Processing Technician or graduation from a program that qualifies the candidate to sit and pass the exam within six months from the date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, process, and reassemble instruments for sterilization.
• Safely operate all steam, Sterrad, and EtO sterilizers.
• Effectively utilize cart washer and washer-decontaminators.
