Requirements

  • High School graduate or previous medical assistant experience required.
  • Graduate of an accredited paramedic or registered nurse program or successful completion and certification as an IBHRE Certified Cardiac Device Specialist required.
  • BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • RN with current Oklahoma RN license in good standing, and/or current IBHRE certification as a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience with preference in cardiology or electrophysiology.
  • A minimum of three (3) years clinical experience preferred.
  • Past experience with interrogating and programming Pacemakers or ICD's preferred.
  • Previous experience with cardiac rhythms and implantable cardiac devices preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs in-person and remote interrogations of pacemakers, defibrillators, and implantable loop recorders using device company programmers.
  • Conducts remote interrogations, inputs data in the proper systems, and prepares reports for the physician and the billing department.
  • Occasionally schedules appointments and scans reports.
  • Frequent or permanent assignment across the Oklahoma City metro for clinic coverage.
  • Occasional travel outside of the Oklahoma City metro may be expected.
