About The Position
The Bakery Training Specialist (BTS) at Panera Bread is a crucial market-based hourly support role dedicated to the effective training of bakers across assigned cafes. This position is responsible for validating the quality of completed bakes and providing essential support to the Lead Bakery Market Manager (LBMM) for various in-market bakery tasks and activities. The BTS will partner closely with the General Manager (GM) to select and interview a strong team of bakers, ensuring that the Baker Training Program is executed flawlessly within their designated cafes. In this role, the BTS will facilitate engaging and educational events known as "bread cuttings," where participants learn about key baking components and new products. The specialist will also validate and reinforce all bakery standards, specifications, and procedures with bakers, Certified Baker Trainers (CBTs), and cafe managers, ensuring that everyone involved in the baking process adheres to established expectations. Collaboration with other BTSs in the market is essential to maintain consistency and quality across all bakery-cafes. Additionally, the BTS will foster a strong partnership between the assigned bakery-cafes and the Fresh Dough Facility (FDF), ensuring that high-quality dough is consistently delivered. The role requires a proactive approach to maintaining the quality and integrity of all products and ingredients in the bakery environment. The BTS will also support cafe managers and the LBMM in troubleshooting baking equipment issues, demonstrating proficiency in all required tasks and expectations.
