About The Position

The Certified Athletic Trainer is responsible for planning, organizing, marketing, and performing sports medicine, rehabilitation, wellness, and fitness related services. They perform sports medicine treatments with athletes of all ages in both clinical and school settings including games and practices. They may also help with conditioning programs, work analysis, and transitional work programs for injured workers. Athletic Trainers perform community education and wellness classes while also assisting with casting and other related patient care in the school, clinic or physician's practice. This position involves irregular work hours in order to meet the needs of the customer. Your Role at a Glance As a Certified Athletic Trainer at Adena, you'll play a vital role in supporting athletes of all ages, from school sports teams to injured workers transitioning back to the job. You'll work in a variety of environments-from the sidelines to the clinic-delivering injury prevention, rehabilitation, wellness education, and fitness programming.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field
  • Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) with current Ohio license or eligibility
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for education, movement, and health
  • Comfort with a flexible, community-focused schedule

Responsibilities

  • Deliver sports medicine care at games, practices, and in clinical settings
  • Evaluate, treat, and help rehabilitate athletic and work-related injuries
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and school staff to ensure safe return-to-play or work
  • Assist with strength and conditioning programs, casting, bracing, and transitional work programs
  • Lead wellness and injury prevention classes in the community
  • Support school-based and clinic-based patient care, including physician office assistance
  • Flex your schedule to meet the needs of athletes, patients, and school events (some evenings/weekends required)
