About The Position

Available for multi-location coverage. Proficient in casting and splinting applications and associated procedures. Proficient in dressing changes, associated applications and suture removal. Consistently manages casting supplies to ensure adequate inventory. Educate patients and caregivers of specific care related to casts, splints, dressings, and durable medical equipment. Maintain appropriate levels of casting and splinting supplies. Fit patients and give appropriate instructions on a variety of DME. Familiar and proficient in EPIC EMR and BREG DME Dispensing software systems. Knowledgeable and familiar with billing and insurance procedures. Capable of anticipating doctors' and patients' needs while performing on a multi-task level in a very busy orthopedics surgical practice. Facilitates patient flow by coordinating patient care in a timely and efficient manner. Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with all HIPAA rules. Available for Ortho Now evening coverage as needed. Available for occasional per diem work at local High School as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Certification by the BOC (Board of Certification)
  • Current Athletic Training Certification
  • Current New York State Athletic Training Licensure
  • Current CPR and AED certification through the American Heart Association
