About The Position

We’re looking for a dedicated Athletic Trainer to provide expert care and support to student-athletes in a dynamic school environment. What You’ll Do As an Athletic Trainer, you’ll be the go-to professional for injury prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation. Your role will include: Injury Assessment & Care: Evaluate athletes’ conditions, develop personalized rehabilitation plans, and make recommendations regarding safe return to play. Treatment & Documentation: Deliver therapeutic interventions to relieve pain and restore function, while maintaining accurate patient records and progress notes. Education & Outreach: Teach athletes, families, and coaches about injury prevention and recovery strategies. Event Coverage: Provide on-site care during practices and games, including emergency first aid when needed. Community Engagement: Promote the Sports Medicine Center through positive relationships with schools and local organizations. Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
  • Certification: Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) through the Board of Certification (BOC).
  • Licensed as an Athletic Trainer in Pennsylvania.
  • CPR & Emergency Care: Must have Emergency Cardiac Care certification covering adult & pediatric CPR, AED use, airway obstruction, two-rescuer CPR, and barrier devices (e.g., pocket mask, bag valve mask).
  • CPR certification must meet AHA standards and include both classroom and hands-on skills within 30 days of hire.
  • Background Clearances (required for school setting): Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance, Act 34 Criminal History Clearance, Act 73 FBI Clearance, Act 114 PDE FBI Clearance, Act 168 Employment History Review
  • Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) with strong clinical and communication skills.
