About The Position

SSM Health Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time WorkStrategies Specialist for an industrial setting in St. Louis County and the Metro East region. This is a part-time, 20 hours per week position, for a licensed Certified Athletic Trainer, Exercise Physiologist, or individual of similar background. We are expanding our partnership with local employers in the region to provide on-site injury prevention services. SSM Health Physical Therapy is the premier provider of comprehensive outpatient services! With a network of more than 80 outpatient physical therapy centers located throughout the St. Louis Metro area, SSM Health Physical Therapy specializes in the treatment of sports, orthopedic, hand and work-related injuries. Requirements

  • BS Degree Required
  • National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification
  • Eligible for state license (if ATC)
  • Minimum one year experience, industrial setting experience is a plus
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Position requires a strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions

Responsibilities

  • Full-time On-site coverage for industrial client(s) under the direction of Account/Program Manager
  • Delivery of full continuum of Onsite Injury Prevention Services at assigned location(s).
  • Assessment, triage, and first aid application for workplace injury/discomfort
  • Ergonomic risk assessment and implementation of ergonomic solutions
  • Design and implementation of functional assessments, preventative exercise and stretching
  • Job coaching and behavior modification both one-on-one and in group settings
  • Providing education and training on a wide range of injury prevention topics
  • Office ergonomics
  • Employment testing
  • Health and wellness consultation
  • Documentation and reporting on employee encounters
  • Regular communication with both client and Select leadership
