About The Position

Vantage Point Solutions is seeking a Texas Certified Applicator (RCA) to support vegetation management and utility infrastructure field services across Texas. This role provides regulatory oversight for pesticide and herbicide applications while also supporting utility pole inspection and infrastructure assessment programs. The ideal candidate will have experience working in utility right-of-way environments, supporting electric utility, telecommunications, or broadband infrastructure projects, and ensuring compliance with pesticide regulations administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. This role will collaborate closely with field inspection teams conducting utility pole inspections, asset assessments, and vegetation management programs designed to protect critical infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Texas Responsible Certified Applicator (RCA) license issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture.
  • 3+ years of experience in vegetation management, pesticide application, or right-of-way maintenance.
  • Experience working on utility pole inspection programs or utility infrastructure field services.
  • Strong understanding of: Herbicide and pesticide application practices
  • Utility right-of-way vegetation management
  • Regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship
  • Ability to maintain accurate field documentation and regulatory records.
  • Ability to travel throughout Texas for project support.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with electric utilities, telecommunications providers, or broadband infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with utility pole inspection programs (wood pole inspection, pole loading analysis, or asset assessment).
  • Familiarity with field data collection tools or GIS-based asset management systems.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Vegetation Management (IVM) programs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Responsible Certified Applicator (RCA) for pesticide and herbicide applications in Texas.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations established by the Texas Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
  • Maintain required pesticide application records, chemical inventories, and compliance documentation.
  • Develop and oversee vegetation management and right-of-way maintenance programs.
  • Ensure safe and effective herbicide application practices to protect utility and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Provide training to field personnel on chemical handling, application techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Support teams performing utility pole inspections and field infrastructure assessments.
  • Identify vegetation risks, environmental considerations, and access challenges related to utility poles and right-of-way corridors.
  • Assist with quality assurance and compliance checks for infrastructure inspection programs.
  • Conduct field audits and inspections to verify compliance with regulatory and company safety standards.
  • Work with project managers and clients to support vegetation control strategies and infrastructure protection initiatives.
