About The Position
The Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (C-AA/CAA) position at UW Health offers a unique opportunity to provide anesthesia care to a diverse and complex patient population under the medical direction of faculty anesthesiologists from the UW Department of Anesthesiology. This role is integral to the functioning of a Level 1 Trauma Center, where you will encounter a variety of cases including neuro, orthopedic trauma, obstetrics and gynecology surgery, acute general surgery, transplant procedures, plastics, trauma, catheterization lab, and outpatient surgery. The position is designed to foster collaboration among administrative, nursing, physician, and other staff to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality patient care while also promoting the educational and research missions of UW Health. The work schedule is flexible, allowing for .75-1.0 FTE based on the candidate's preference, with options for 14, 12, 10, and 8-hour shifts. Weekend and evening shifts are available for those seeking additional compensation, and some weekend, night, holiday, and pager call duties may be required at various locations including University Hospital, American Family Children's Hospital, East Madison Hospital, Madison Surgery Center, and the Digestive Health Center in Madison, WI.
