The position involves the provision and technical function of various anesthesia machines and related equipment. This includes ventilators, monitoring equipment, fluid warmers, patient warming systems, and other types of anesthesia equipment that may be age-specific. The role also encompasses the responsibility for the provision and stocking of supplies necessary for anesthesia administration, as well as the cleaning and disinfecting of equipment such as fiberoptic bronchoscopes. Additionally, troubleshooting various types of anesthesia equipment is a key responsibility.
