Requirements
- A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to interpret medical records effectively.
- Strong skills in behavior management and motivational interviewing techniques.
- Knowledge of addiction medicine principles is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines in counseling practices.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in child family counseling is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on mental health, addiction recovery, and family dynamics.
- Utilize evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing and behavior management techniques.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support for clients.
- Stay informed about developments in social work, addiction medicine, and mental health counseling through ongoing research and professional development.
- Facilitate workshops or support groups as needed to promote community engagement and education.
