About The Position

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of different programs throughout Arizona. CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness. The Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) I or II will provide counseling services to patients with substance abuse addiction problems within the scope of their certification. The CAC will assess and analyze emotional conditions, explore possible solutions, and work within a treatment plan for mental and emotional adjustment or development. Will be responsible for teaching clients the skills and mechanics to cope with addiction and providing treatment to people with mental, emotional or substance use disorders. The CAC will be responsible for completing duties consistent with their respective licensure bodies and agency certifications.

Requirements

  • Must possess an Associate degree from an accredited school in a health or human services field.
  • Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders required.
  • Must have 2-3 years of experience providing substance use services in a healthcare setting.
  • Electronic Medical Record experience preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates highly preferred.
  • Valid identification required.
  • Must possess a valid CAC I or CAC II certification from the D.C. Department of Health or from another endorsed U.S. Jurisdiction.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
