To recruit and certify Foster/Adoptive Homes to care for youth in need of out of home placement. Conduct duties related to certifying Kinship and/or Foster/Adoptive Homes for the purpose of placing youth in need of out of home care. Make home visits to emergency kinship and prospective foster and adoptive homes to ensure the home/physical plant meets state, city and agency safety requirements for placement of youth in need of home care. Interview emergency kinship or prospective foster and adoptive parents, their household members and extended family members to certify their home for the placement of youth needing out of home care. Collect documents required for kinship and Foster/Adoption Home certification. Lead foster and adoptive parent orientation and required precertification training (GPSII/MAPP, TRIPP) to foster and adoptive parent applicants. Maintain caseload on internal and external recording systems. Track certification progress of each assigned kinship and/or foster and adoptive parent from inquiry to full certification. Fully certify kinship and/or foster and adoptive parents by or before the 150 day of an approved application. Ability to work flex schedule including scheduled Saturday’s as needed to conduct training, meet with prospective foster and adoptive parents etc. Facilitating training not required for on call staff
