The Certification Engineer is responsible for developing and executing certification programs to demonstrate compliance to regulatory and OEM requirements. This role involves hands-on work in a test lab performing static tests and supporting external test labs with dynamic crash testing of aircraft seats. The engineer will also support design optimization tasks and prepare documentation for assigned projects, including certification documents, correspondence, and meeting minutes. The position may require representing the company in meetings with government authorities and participating in international working groups. Interpreting airworthiness requirements and advising departments on all matters related to airworthiness and certification is a key aspect of the role. There may be a need to review and assist with the certification documents of peers for accuracy and completeness. The role is 100% onsite but may require up to 10% travel to support external testing. Employees are expected to maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment, adhering to all company policies and procedures. Work outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary to meet program objectives and deadlines. Maintaining the confidentiality of company information and products is essential.
