About The Position

This is a .6 FTE non-continuing leave replacement position for a Certificated School Nurse beginning on or about April 28, 2026. The assignment might extend into the beginning of the 2026�27 school year, depending on district needs. Edmonds School District School Nurses, together with Administrators and school leadership teams: Develop a plan for all aspects of student health and safety. Contribute nursing expertise in developing plans for students with health disabilities, both those health plans mandated by law (Life threatening conditions and Section 504 accommodations) and Special Education plans. Complete nurse-designated tasks including provision of medication administration at school per procedures and provide other nursing services and duties as assigned. Supervise, monitor and collaborate with Immunization Compliance procedures. Manage legally mandated vision screening programs. Assist in the prevention, identification, and management of the school community communica ble disease control. Provide health education and training. Provide support and counseling to students, parents, and school staff regarding physical and emotional health concerns as needed. Serve as liaison between the school, the home, and medical or other community resources. Supervise designated classified staff or volunteers.

Requirements

  • Valid Washington State Educational Staff Associate Certificate as a School Nurse or the ability to obtain one.
