About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Subacute position is a Per Diem NIGHT role located at Corona Rehabilitation Hospital in Corona, CA. Reporting to the Director, the mental health worker/certified nurse assistant will assist in the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health of patients assigned to his/her care. Responsibilities include assisting with ADL's, promoting wellness, health/education, and clearly documenting patient activities. The role is responsible for adult and geriatric patients' personal hygiene, ADL's, vital signs, application of ice bags, K-Pads, assisting patients with TC and DB, and the use of incentive spirometers while providing a safe and comfortable environment for their patients. They also provide emotional support to their patients and document their interventions.

Requirements

• Must have current, valid Certified Nurses Assistant certification
• Current BLS (CPR) certification required through the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Promote wellness and health education
• Document patient activities clearly
• Ensure personal hygiene for adult and geriatric patients
• Monitor and record vital signs
• Apply ice bags and K-Pads as needed
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and deep breathing
• Use incentive spirometers with patients
• Provide emotional support to patients
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients
