The position involves assisting professional nursing staff in providing patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist. The individual will demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary for age-appropriate care, perform documentation of patient data, and ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Assist nursing staff by performing specific nursing functions related to patient care under supervision.
Collect and document patient data including vital signs, activities of daily living, and intake/output.
Provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles.
Navigate electronic medical records to document daily care of residents.
Communicate pertinent patient information to team members under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
Maintain clinical skills and complete annual competencies for post-acute skilled nursing.
Perform certified nursing assistant care including measuring vital signs, personal care, and patient hygiene.
Troubleshoot and work with medical equipment used in patient care.
Respond promptly to clinical changes and report to the supervising nurse.
Follow established policies and procedures in performing nursing duties.

High School Diploma or GED required.
Completion of an approved Nurse Aide training course required.
Successful completion of technician course at FGH during clinical orientation required.
Nurse Aide work experience required.
Certified Nurse Aid Certificate required upon hire.
Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.

Experience in a skilled nursing facility.
Knowledge of electronic medical records systems.
Strong customer service skills.
