About The Position

This is a clinical staff position with responsibility for specified patient care duties within ENTAA Care, a practice pod of Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians LLC. Responsible for preparing patients for office visits by collecting medical histories, medications, allergies, and vital signs in accordance with practice protocols. Opens and closes the office and exam rooms, prepares and stocks exam rooms and instruments, and ensures all necessary reports (labs, X-rays, CT/MRI) are available in the patient chart. Assists physicians with office procedures such as balloon sinuplasty, foreign body removal, nosebleed management, injections, FNAs, and biopsies. Ensures proper labeling and handling of specimens, provides cross-coverage across six ENTAA Care locations, and schedules routine follow-up appointments. Trains new medical assistants, manages incoming calls, attends required meetings, and supports efficient patient flow. Performs allergy-related tasks including spirometry, puncture and intradermal testing, and administering immunotherapy under physician supervision. Always maintains strict patient confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or possession of GED required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a clinical setting or physician's office.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program and/or active certification as a Medical Assistant by an approved national examination agency.
  • Current training and certification in basic life support (BLS) required.

Nice To Haves

  • ENT and/or Allergy experience preferred.
